Spotlights to pendant lighting

Hello! We have three spotlights above our kitchen island, and want to instead have three (hanging) pendant lights.

Does anyone know if this is possible and, more importantly, how big (expensive) a job it is?

Yes of course it is! An electrician would need to visit and check the supply and joists positions but we have had similar done last month. It involved some big holes cut out of ceiling to thread supply then these were replaced and ceiling touched up. Was part of major renovation. Don't know exact cost yet as I haven't had the bill but it won't have been a lot ( though in all the electrics for kitchen was about £3k)
