Grey paint looks baby blue

So despite testing the paint when I've done the room the grey paint looks baby blue in sunlight. Today its been quite cloudy and the wall colour now looks grey!

I've about to buy furniture...white desk and white kallax and was going to get a light grey rug but now im wondering if it'll look good.

I'm putting up a day and night blind in grey so that should filter the light somewhat.

What colours can I use to tone down the blue effect? E.g. Will a rustic organe accent help to cancel out the blue hue? I have dark wooden floors.

I'm not looking to repaint before its suggested.

I've uploaded a pic when it was grey so not bright sunlight. The furniture in there is from another room as I was scoping out size and colours

If you want the wall to look less blue, you need to put something near it that’s a lot more blue. I know that sounds a bit counter intuitive, but colour is a relative thing. If your eyes have something “proper blue” to look at, they will notice less of the much weaker blue in the paint. Orange will actually make the blue stand out more.

From the photo though, it looks like white furniture would go well with that wall colour. I’m not sure about a light grey rug. I think it would depend on what kind of grey it is 🤔

Thanks!! I was thinking of this rug as its basically my office/guest room. The grey blanket on the floor was me just playing about to see if grey rug would work hah!

Every grey paint we bought looked blue until we got Dulux Rochdale. Not a hint of blue

Rocksalt!

Its Dukux Mineral Haze 3...I do love it and now another day in I'm definitely sticking with it. I've got warm white bulb so now it looks more grey.

I realised I have east facing room and doing some reading turns out its hard to get any colour right...so in morning it'll look blue at noon when its brightest it washes colour away so looks white and in afternoon it slowly goes grey hahha

So im not going to fight it but accept it Grin

Dulux Rochdale - that made me laugh! I always get testers as the light in our house varies a lot as greys and pale creamy browns can look blue or lilac. I was dead set on Denim Drift for a bedroom, but it was so purple on the wall it was a no go.
