Stainless Steel topped kitchen table?

I would like to find a simple table, about 2m long x 90cm wide, the top of which is covered with stainless steel, for my kitchen.

I can't seem to find one online. I'd also be happy with an aluminium topped table (you often see small ones in cafes).

I can find zinc and copper topped tables, but these seem too difficult to look after.

I've looked at catering equipment websites but their tables seem to have a shelf underneath or are too high to sit at.

Does anyone have one or has had one made and can recommend the company?

TIA

I would just say -having worked in catering in a past life- that wiping with a damp cloth always left streaks so you had to clean and then buff with a dry cloth to make the stainless steel streak free.
It’s not a table I’d want in a family home, too much hard work!

Oh.

I have a stainless steel sheet that goes over a section of worktop and it seems to stay nice without too much trouble. It was from John Lewis.

I have a pet hate of mats so don't want a wooden table to get marked without them and I'm not keen on glass as you can see your own thighs while you eat. Very off putting in my case.

You could get a table felt to protect from heat, and oilcloth tablecloth over the top? Though might not be the look you’re after!!
Some sort of stone-effect top? Could be ££££ due to weight...

One of the steel fabricators who make kitchens would do you a table, I imagine.

For example: www.dsmstainlessproducts.co.uk/stainless-steel-worktops.html

Thank you for the link. I will have a look.

I was going to get one in quartz but was quoted £3,500 which was a bit steep. Also it was pointed out that a 2m long quartz table would need a few strong people to move it, even a few cms.

Thank you so so much for that link @Ouchiehelpneeded.

They look like a great company who will make just what I want.

You're welcome Smile

Let us know how you get on. I share your hatred of glass tables. Horrible.

Thank you. I think glass tables look very cool but are not for me.
