Kitchen cupboards organisation

We're about to start decorating our kitchen. I really want to empty all the cupboards and reorganise everything as I've never really felt like we are making best use of the space available. All the cupboards are full and all worktops pretty cluttered too. Just wondered if anyone had any tips or hacks such as which cupboard best for what, how to best store oven trays, chopping boards, plastic Tupperware, tea towels, utensils etc etc. TIA

I have a little basket for tea towels, and another for my cleaning cloths. I fold them up Marie Kondo style and put them in the basket.

I use the plastic punnets that grapes come in from the supermarket to organise herbs and spices.

Little baskets sounds good. Do you then keep the basket in a cupboard/drawer? Been looking at storage on amazon/Ikea etc but it's going to cost a fortune in one swoop

yes, I keep them in a cupboard.

Also, if you google how to fold plastic bags/bags for life, they can go in a little basket/tub too.. saves a lot of space.

Just realised this should have maybe gone under housekeeping rather than decoration, oops sorry!
