Moving things- central or to one side??

Arch shapes alcove and I've moved a taller chest of drawers into it instead of a smaller one - should it be central or to one side??
I know the basket under it needs shifting too. I also dithering about where to put my sofas. I may do a diagram for that though ...ideas ?

Rest of room. Not to scale but sofa just fits in window and the its twin just fits opposite it but can also fit where my big armchair and dog crate are. Any ideas for a better plan?

Central, unless you are going t put something much taller next to it

To the side it just looked shoved in there

Centrally it shows it as a feature in the alcove

And any other placement ideas?? Debating sofa move to where dog crate and chair are and maybe arm chair in window ?
