Any recommendations for nice candles (that don’t loose their scent after the first burn) something to look forward to lighting to wind down with on an autumn and winter night in that won’t break the bank. Thanks

Ava May wax melts are brilliant. They do dupes of perfumes and scents such as ‘snow fairy’ and zoflora. My house smells amazing at the minute.

I really like Kew Gardens rose and oud. It is a lovely scent, and it lasts ages. I buy the small tin, and it burns evenly. I only burn for an hour and the scent lasts ages.

I just splurged on Diptyque Tuberose. Fabulous.

So few candles have a decent throw of scent. I’ve decided to sack off the cheapies and just buy fewer posh ones.

The last Christmas I hosted I bought a fab candle from Melt (www.themeltco.com/) - I've also seen them recommended on the thread for independent local shops to support instead of Amazon etc.

I like Woodwick - gorgeous range of scents, burn really evenly and the scent carries well.

Diptyque Feu des Bois for now- Pommander for Christmas. I get one every bithday and it lasts for ever but man the price! Fifty euros - when did it get to be so expensive.

NEOM Relax is divine but £££

Canada goose! £16-20 for a large candle - smells evenly all the way to the bottom of the jar, I’m loving Sunday drive at the moment.

Shearer Candles are nice, especially their amber noir range. www.shearer-candles.com/en/

Definitely St Eval- Bay and Rosemary is our autumn/ winter scent and I adore it. Small, UK company, natural ingredients, so ticks all boxes for me. Free P&P over a certain amount, so I buy in bulk and give some for gifts which people.always love.
