Rescuing a Diptyque Candle

My candle did not burn well despite following the instructions.
Any ideas on how to salvage or reuse what is left ?

I've done this lots of times.
You will need - new wick with attached metal bit and something to stick it to the base of the jar ( I use sticky dots.) You can get these online.

Put it in your freezer for a day. This will help you to more easily remove the wax.
Chop up the candle, removing the wick and its metal base.
Put wax bits into a clean empty baked bean tin. ( Bend the rim into a v-shape to help with pouring.)
Place tin in a saucepan of boiling water. Leave until the wax has melted.
Meanwhile stick a new wick and metal bit into the centre of the candle jar. Make sure to keep the wick vertical (tie it around a chopstick or pencil resting across the top of the jar.)
When wax has melted carefully pour into the jar. Use an oven glove as the tin will be hot!
Leave to set.

If your candle has started to tunnel but isn’t as bad as the OP’s, you can wrap a piece of tinfoil around the container like you are making a soufflé. Fold the tinfoil in to the middle leaving a small space for air. This increases the temperature and helps to melt the hard wax around the edges.

Sometimes I remove the wax and put it in an oil burner with a tea light. You get the smell but the wax doesn’t disappear so you have to keep replacing it.
