What colour shall I paint my living room? It’s quite a dark room and I’d like it to look a bit more spacious. I don’t like yellow (or too warm) tones. I have bought loads of testers but nothing feels quite right. Don’t really want it to have to be boring white....! Shock

Which direction does your room face?

We used valspar clotted cream of ours contrasted with white woodwork. It’s warm without being yellow or orange.

What colour is it at the moment? Our sitting room is currently yellow (previous owner's choice) and while I know I want to change it I'm struggling to decide what to. Considering pink but I think I'm going to paint it white first just to get a proper sense of the room.

It depends what colour your sofa is? What about a warm white colour on 3 walls with a dark statement wall, then lighten it up with nice lighting, a mirror if it's a small room, lamps and throws on the sofa and a rug in vibrant colours to match your wall?

Brand: mylands. colour: Chiswick.

We love this colour, have two rooms painted in it (one large room, one small) and get regular compliments on it.
