What sort of carpet is best for high traffic area of the house. I need something that is easy to hoover and hard wearing.

80/20 wool twist.

I've just gone from beige to a red striped carpet for stairs and landing, it wasn't that expensive but I got really good underlay and it's made a difference and you can't see any marks or bits at all, much better than plain and looks really warm.

@Dontfuckingsaycheese that looks gorgeous! ♥️

I've just sold my house so I'm leaving mine, only had it laid in January, boo hoo, however, the house I'm moving in to has the same carpet, yippee Smile

Smile They cheer me every time I look at them. The stripes hide a multitude of sins but they do get considerably brighter with a good hoovering 😆

@Dontfuckingsaycheese agree totally, but don't need hoovering as much haha

@2me2u2u2me I love that, where is it from?

@ArticulateYourLife I live in Manchester and I got it from a local shop near me, I literally went in looking for exactly that and they had an end of role that was just the right size, I was very lucky. I’d say just go to some of the big stores and have a look around
