Loft bed in box room?

Does anyone have a loft bed in a box room and does it work?

My teenager needs more space (to make more mess no doubt) but I'm worried it'll look stupid.

We’ve had a loft bed in a box room before. It just about fit. Fantastic way of optimising space and didn’t look stupid at all. 🙂

Thanks Maisy, I might take the plunge. I feel bad for him as he's been put in the small room out of circumstance after previously having a double room so I want to make it nice for him

Some box rooms are bigger than others and in a small space every cm counts.. i found it only looks silly if it ends up blocking the window. But if you arent selling then just do it how you need it to be.

Does it have a stairwell box jutting into the room too? I managed to find a bloody brilliant bed for my DD. It has 2 short legs to go over the stairwell box and 2 long legs that go down the the floor (obvs! ). We got to select the height. Wish I'd gone higher actually but she was young when we got it.
