Using the my builder app

I posted a job on my builder earlier today & invited 5 people to quote. I got emails from the app (website?) saying that 3 were interested so put them on a shortlist (which is done in the app). From 2 of them, messages turned up in the app (or whatever it is) inbox, about arranging to see the job & quote. But from the third, I got a text message, direct to my phone, using my name.

I hadn’t authorised disclosure of my name & phone number & feel really unhappy about this. Is this how it is meant to work? Or has something gone wrong.

Will this person also now have my address? I am feeling worried....it seems weird.

When you shortlist them, they can see your name and number just like you can see their number and obvs name. ThAts how it works, when you shortlist a pop up usually comes up where it'll say expect a call from the individual you shortlisted

I used my builder almost 2 years ago and just like the top poster says but they don’t know your address. When I did mine I was the one who gave them my address after we spoke on the phone.
