Wood venetian blinds 25, 35 or 50mm slats?

I am looking to have some white venetian wood blinds made for the living room and a bedroom. Both rooms are NE facing so less light during most of the day. Am unsure which slat width to opt for ensuring the best light. Any suggestions? TIA.

I’ve got 50mm, I think they let more light in as the gaps between are bigger. IMO they look more contemporary, plus less slats to clean!

I agree, I have 50 too, they look much nicer imo and as the PP said as the gap is bigger let more light through.

They are a nightmare to clean though.

Aaagh!! Cleaning them is indeed a bit of a thought, but I can no longer live with the hideous vertical blinds that came with the house and as they are windows at the front of the house, I want something that can be angled for privacy but still allow in daylight. Looks like it’s 50mm then....thanks.
