Wall panels instead of tiles

We're planning on updating our bathroom. I hate it as there's currently no ventilation so it's a constant battle with mould & I've come to hate scrubbing grout. What I'd love to do is to install either glass wall panels or some other material for the shower, has anyone done this & how has it worked out.
I realise with glass I'll probably have to scrub limescale instead (Hard water area but we have a softener). I've also seen these & wonder are they really tacky & very plastic?

We've had wall panels for years.
First had them in the shower room (just in the cubicle) about 14 years ago. That room doesn't have a window - though the extractor fan comes on with the light. They have been excellent. More expensive to buy than tiles but cheaper in labour costs as tiling does take quite a while. Never had to clean grout of course in all those years. They still look great.
When we had a refurb of our main (much bigger) bathroom about 3 years ago, we went for panels again. This has a much larger shower and also a separate bath, where there are more panels above it. Looks great. Really pleased with them both.

Sorry, meant to say I have no idea about glass.

That's great to hear that you've loved them. I really am done with cleaning grout. We will put in an extractor so it won't be as bad as now but even still I hate the stuff.
Can I ask where you got your panels?
