Made a bad kitchen choice?

Hellllp!!! I feel like I’ve made a really bad choice of kitchen (and it’s currently being fitted at our new-to-be home ☹️)
Pic attached - I’m thinking ivory shaker is outdated and maybe I should’ve gone grey and also I hate that massive silver extractor fan! Really I should’ve gone for a built-in extractor unit with the posh shelf at the front for hanging Christmas garlands etc. Please give me your opinion, will this be hideous and will I be able to change the extractor fan easily to a built-in one?

I like the shaker units and agree that changing the extractor is a good idea.

Could I be cheeky and ask how long your peninsula is? We're looking at a similar layout for doing ours but are a little tighter for space than you by the looks of things.
