Where should I look for a dining table?

We've recently arrived in the UK and our dining table was broken in transit (legs snapped right off, through the wood not the joint - no idea how they managed that). I've found something I like to replace it but I'm reluctant to order it until I've looked at a few more. I've been out of the UK for over a decade (and had no money for furniture last time I was here) so I'm not sure where to look.

My insurance would only pay for about half of the table in that link, so cheaper would be good, but I'd be happy to pay more for something that'll last forever.

Any ideas?

Our kitchen table is very like the picture you posted. We bought a second hand table and painted it.

We’ve been really impressed, we went for the plank table and it is solid, good weight to it and seems like it will really last.

Their customer service is brilliant too!

Have a look at country life furniture. we've just ordered the Florence. I was looking at Loaf and Cotswoldsco but this company is so unique. They have a really small showroom and a workshop underneath. Can't wait for our table to arrive!
