Hello you lovely lot. I’m currently planning the redecoration of our lounge and looking at laminate flooring. I’d love real wood but we just don’t have the budget. I would however like to get the best laminate we can afford so please hit me with your suggestions. So far we’ve just been to b&q and I wasn’t hugely impressed with their selection. Googling just brings up an overwhelming selection so id really appreciate some recommendations as a starting point. Thank you!

Have a look at Costco online (they do have some in store sometimes but not all the colours) we’ve just got our second lot for the kitchen/hallway. It’s brilliant, cost effective (as it comes with foam underlay already stuck on the back of the planks) and looks brilliant. Lots of colours to choose from. You do have to be a member, I think but easy enough to sign up iirc.

Iv seen a lot and I mean a lot of people doing the Lino ?? It's cheap. Looks the same and super durable with kids an dogs etc. I have marble tiles. WORST CHOICE EVERRRRR with kids an pets !! Used to have Victorian floor in my previous house that was just as bad. Used to get polished. Cost a fortune then scratch within dayssss so yea. Lino iv heard best reviews on ! Xx

I would only ever get Quickstep laminate again. We had our kitchen done and DH wanted laminate in there and all continued through into the hall and living room where we had oak effect laminate from Quickstep. It had been down years and barely had a mark on it.

We ended up going with Howdens own stuff on a whim when we were looking at kitchen stuff. It's REALLY not as good quality.

I agree with quick step. Very hard-wearing

This stands up well to pets and people and available in various colours if you're on a budget...

Quickstep recommendation here too.The Kids have been known to roller skate on it and it still looks as good as new.
