Curious to know if any of you use pillow protectors, they can make you feel hot or do you just just pillowcases, or double pillowcases.

Always pillow protectors, otherwise the pillows get really manky.

ImANosyNeighbour · 18/09/2020 00:40

Yes always use them.

DramaAlpaca · 18/09/2020 00:42

I always use pillow protectors.

VanGoghsDog · 18/09/2020 00:43

No, they make the pillow too stiff and bulky.

My pillows don't get manky, can't think how they would. But if they did, they are washable anyway.

Perimenopausal pillow was one of my grimmer symptoms. Protectors are essential.

Yes, always. My mum used to use old pillow cases for it. I've got some quilted ones, which aren't stiff after they've been through the washing machine a few times.

No I don't like the way they change the feel of the pillow.

I do put two pillow cases on though

Thank you everyone

Yes. They keep the pillows fresh and clean so they last much longer. You can get "cool" ones if you find they make you hot (M&S sell them) and hypoallergenic ones if you have allergies. I think Ikea has the best range of different thickness/stiffness but they are made to fit their pillows that are a slightly different size.
