Help with Roman blind...

Hi everyone - I have made a curtain for my hall with a pinch pleat heading, now want to make a blind for the window with the same pleated effect at the top. (Basically an Austrian blind, but with pinch pleats instead of header tape).
I have looked online to see if I can find a similar idea, but can't find anything.
Just trying to visualise it in my head and wonder if the wise people of mumsnet could either reassure me or tell me I'm over-egging the puddingSmile.

I think the plaid fabric would look far better as a plain Roman blind rather than an Austrian blind.

The blind would spread as you use it so if it really has to be pleated, I think you would have to stitch them in place.
I do think it would work without them too.

Check out London blinds. They have the full, prettiness of an Austrian blind but are fairly tailored when lowered.
They work very well on a narrow window. For a wider window I agree with PP that a Roman is better.

I think that would be overly fussy and dated op
