We've just bought this bed which is lovely but will mean changing all decor in the room. I'm getting a grey carpet but not sure what to do with walls paint or wallpaper and curtains and bedding . Looking for inspiration thanks.

That's nice! If your carpet is going to be gray go for deep colour (what's your favourite? just to warn that yellow and gray is pretty over) behind the headboard and something light on other walls if the room is small or dark all over if room is big. I always like floor to ceiling curtains in same colour as walls and a blackout blind if you need it and aren't overlooked. If you are overlooked blackout lined curtains and muslin panels for privacy. If you like pattern do it on the bedding or the curtains not both. Contrast textures with wooden or metal bedside tables and pick up either that wood or the dark feature wall colour in other furniture - drawers, wardrobes etc. Bedrooms should be calm but also where you can indulge yourself with your favourite colours that might be too out there for the "living" rooms.

We have a grey bed and are about to paint our bedroom window in F & B Borrowed Light. We have dark grey black out curtains at the moment, but I think we will swap them to something lighter- maybe even get shutters, as it's a bay and finding a curtain pole is very difficult!

We're going for a bit of a New England vibe, peaceful and relaxing. We have been building/renovating /decorating for over 18 months now and it will be the last thing we do!

F and B Calamine looks lovely with my grey bed, if you are open to pink Smile
