Vinyl over slightly uneven floor?

Has anyone laid a vinyl floor over slate/stone? Our kitchen is slate and I’m fed up of how cold, dirty and hard it is.

I think you generally need a flat surface. We have vinyl over wooden floorboards and it had to be boarded first. Is that what you're asking? Its easier to keep clean than floorboards though.

You will feel the shape of the floor underneath.
I have a couple of uneven bits in mine as the vinyl settles overtime and with wear.
Depends if that bothers you.

Nope, have to board or screed it first

That’s great, thanks. I thought it might sink into the dips and between the tiles. I’ll rethink.
