What colour walls with blue sofa?

We are redecorating our living room.

It's a long rectangle without a fireplace. Having built in tv units/ shelves storage but don't know what colour to paint the walls.
It's a light room with big windows at each end.

We have 2 kids so nothing too light.

Help!!

We have this wallpaper in the hall and stairs.

Would you be brave enough to use farrow abs ball India yellow OP? I'd have it colour matched though

I live in a Victorian semi and have a deep blue sofa.

The sitting room has been painted a Crown Heritage red, a mustardy golden yellow by Craig and Rose and is currently Lamp Room Grey by F&B. They have all looked fab. A blue sofa is more adaptably than you would think.

sage green?

We used to have a blue sofa in our last house and had terracotta walls. It worked really well, especially as it was an older house.

Now live in a cream box, so will be watching for inspiration!

I like the idea of green. Will take a look. I need a hard wearing paint. Any recommendations?

With young kids I'd paint it all trade white and expect to have to do regular touchups.

@justaweeone that's a touch too dark for me. Definitely sold on green just need to find the perfect shade.

We have grey walls with our navy blue sofa. Dulux chic shadow I think - it isn't too light.

What kind of blue is it? We used to have a deep blue sofa in our previous house and had a gorgeous old gold yellow on the walls - a bit less turmeric in colour than @justaweeone's but still very warm gold.

As others have said, it's a versatile colour. you could go for anything from a biscuity neutral to terracotta, creamy yellows, pale sky blue-greys or peacock shades.

I've actually got wallpaper on one wall behind mine( I know a feature wall isn't for everyone). The other walls are painted in Crown stone white.

A greyish green would work for a low-contrast scheme. Teal would also be a possibility. If you're after high contrast, a cool pink (as well as an orange/yellow) would set your sofa off very well.
