Ikea Kivik sofa - anybody have one?

We have a very narrow, low doorway in our playroom and so need a sofa we can build in the room.

I like the Ikea kivik and reviews seem good but I sat in one in store today and I didn’t find it overly comfortable.

Looking for reviews. Did yours need ‘broken in’? Would you recommend? Thanks so much for any info!

We have one & it had been my mum’s for about 5/6 years before that! It is comfy.

We have the 3 seater and it is really comfy. I've just checked and we actually bought it almost 10 years ago - I think it was a new design then.

We have the 3 seater in dark grey and when we had to refurb after water damage we bought the exact same one again.

We've got the Tidafors which looks similar. The back and sides bolt on. Most comfy sofa I've had.

We have had ours since 2012, it is the sofa bed three seater that they unfortunately don't do anymore. It is SO comfy. We also have the söderhamn armchair which is comfy when you sit in it at first but the kivik is comfy for hours and hours. I really love ours and it has lasted incredibly well. You can buy new covers separately too.

Seriously, banging on about how comfy the sofa is is one of my favourite late night topics of conversation... poor DH 😂

It's comfy to lie on but the seat cushion always slides out
