Have started going to friends houses again and realise how bland mine is. The main room I want to tackle first is a large open plan room which has glass doors to patio. There are three ‘sections’. You walk into the room which is a walnut kitchen with extending worktop out into the room. Behind that is a seating/TV area - Large cream sofa on one wall Which we need to keep, tv on other. ‘Behind‘ that Is dining area - oak wood table and chairs. Then doors to garden. Wall are currently white. There’s lots of windows and light, south-ish facing. Floor is cream tiles. What colour should I paint walls and how to accessorise your object colour? I have no idea at all!! Help!!

We have a large open room, we painted the walls ammonite, the cabinets purbeck stone and got a dark navy velvet sofa. The end wall of the kitchen is drawing room blue (so deep navy like the sofa) and I got curtains and blinds that are mainly navy too.
Really pleased with it, it all pulls together with some silver tables and planters.

Will look at that. Bought a tester for ‘tranquil dawn’ and rather than green, it looks more dirty grey!

Previously it was a v pale green with cream cupboards, that was lovely too but I've found the navy easy to accessorise
