Johnstone’s Manhattan Grey - What happened to it?!

So dd has wanted her bedroom wall grey for a while, she used to have it grey a good few years ago, then we painted over it white, now she’d like it grey again.

So I got a tub of the grey we used last time, Johnstone’s Manhattan Grey as I knew it was a good grey & worked well in her bedroom.

I did it last night. I did the first coat & thought ok it’s not looking grey grey like it did before but the colour looks ok. Did another coat & thought right see what it looks like tomorrow in daylight.

This morning it defining looked like a light blue. Like a proper blue. It was certainly nothing like the grey I remember using before. I remember using the Manhattan grey before in dd’s room & ds’s & thinking it was a nice grey colour.

Anyway I’ve managed to mix it with some charcoal paint I’ve had left over & created a proper grey colour & redone it, now it looks more like the Manhattan Grey I remember, albeit a bit darker but dd is happy. But just baffled at how the colour can change so much, I know it’s been a good few years, but surely they don’t change the colour that much?!
