Help me find a kitchen rug!

I hate the floor in our kitchen - it's too dark - so I'm looking for a rug to cover it up. Needs to be hard wearing, preferably easy to clean (wipe clean / outdoor type, presumably), light-coloured, about 2m square, and not cost an arm and a leg. Am I looking for unicorn poo?!

Would sisal work in a kitchen...?

I had a sisal runner in the kitchen but got rid of it because all the crumbs get stuck in it and it was seemingly impossible to get rid of it.

MIL had a rug in the kitchen and tbh it was just a trip hazard. Is it in an area where you will be moving about with hot pans etc or in a less used area.

Look at outdoor rugs. They can be hosed down.

Try hugathome.co.uk

I have 2 doormats and they wash brilliantly- come up brand new

I'm on the hunt for the same. Not because I hate the floor, just because it looks nice. We've had large rugs before and as long as you have one of those sticky gripper things underneath they don't budge. They end up taking some hammer though, hence the search for a replacement.

A cheap second hand one? It’s going to have a hard life in a kitchen.

I got this one from here: www.therugseller.co.uk/brighton-rugs-98570-5027/p-36-26874-38458-0

They have quite a good selection.
