Day to Night Blinds

I've noticed a few houses have some very smart window blinds , they're called Day to Night blinds (I only know that because I asked a woman in her garden who had some in her home while I was walking pastGrin)
Does anyone have any experience of them? Are they expensive and do we work well in terms of privacy?

Thanks !

I've bought one of these but haven't put it up yet so abit rubbish sorry!
We've put shutter blinds up but one window doesn't have a frame so we bought one of these!

If you haven't had any more responses I'll come back in a week & let you know!

I might need your update as there's not a lot of interest so far Grin

Sorry no help in answer to your question but I’m thinking of getting these for a bedroom. They look really neat from the outside but wondering what they are like inside when not fully closed, as in does it make the room a little dark or shadowy? Also does the quality vary depending where you get them and if you need a to get a fitter to install?

@Irishgal20 I think I'd probably pay to have them professionally fitted because if I attempted it they may look wonky and because of the thick stripes it would look v obvious. Like you I'd like to see what they look like from the inside. Hopefully someone knowledgeable I'll come along Smile

A friend of mine has them, they are excellent. I’d thoroughly recommend. He got them fro blinds2go. They are no expensive, but depends on your context.

@Bluntness100 thanks, that's good to know Smile

I'm back! We were waiting for a new door to be fitted before we put it up but I have photos!
It's really nice!

Definitely recommend! 😄

Oh wow, these look great!

Can I ask a silly question please! Can you also put BOTH parts up to just have the window pane and all glass?

Isolatedizzy · 03/09/2020 12:44

Cherry, you can roll the whole lot up but then it's either striped or blocked out completely!

I have one of these in my bedroom. I have curtains with blackout linings, but I like to be able to open them in the morning and have natural light when I get up. I can have the blind down for privacy while dressing but still let light in with the blind in “fully closed” position, or have it “striped” and can see the garden through the voile panels while still not feeling I can be seen from outside .

Mine is also from Blinds2Go. I measured and re-measured to make sure it would be the right size! I got it about 2 months ago and am very happy with it. I didn’t go for the one with black-out panels as I wanted it for privacy more than light-blocking, and it makes the room a little bit shady but still pretty light.
