I didn't want to hijack someone's similar thread but could do with some help please.

We're looking for a paint that's the palest possible cream/white - ie white with the slightest touch of warmth. We have curtains with a pale linen coloured background so I don't want these to look dirty. The room is dark, despite being dual aspect to the south and west.

I've tried F&B Wevet, Wimbourne White and All White as well as Dulux Timeless (among loads of other samples we already had in the house) and they're all still too beige. Any thoughts please?

I always used Dulux Trade Timeless but i see that's not for you. Hope you find what your looking for.

If your going down the trade paint route go directly to the trade supply shop, {Dulux, Crown etc} They are all over. i'm not convinced B&Q etc do it exactly the same way

That's probably true!

Dulux nutmeg white has very slight blush undertone

Crown Aged White. its a soft white but not brilliant white.

Dulux white mist. Bright without being cold.

Go somewhere like Kent Blaxill or Brewers, they have trade paint plus Little Greene and other premium brands. Much better selection of quality paint than somewhere like B&Q.

Had Pure brilliant white stored in the garage so tested it out today to save me buying more tester pots. Who'd have thought it has an ever so slight cream tinge? It will work really well so thanks again for all your advice.

Order from the online paint site called Lick. The paints are absolutely brilliant. We have just redecorated four rooms in the house and only 2 coats needed, the texture is so lovely. You can order test stickers and the colour is spot on, you stick the test patch to the wall and you can peel it off and stick it to different areas of the room to see it in the light. For the ceilings we used White 01 and looks really fresh and clean.

We use a colour called Bedford White on our woodwork, but you have to have it mixed. We discovered it when painting woodwork when we extended our old house - we didn’t want bright wood next to older gloss white, so we took an old bit of skirting and had the colour matched.

Another vote for Dulux Jasmine White
