I am trying to create a "luxury" bedroom. We've just spent a stupid amount on a new mattress, what kind duvet feels the most luxurious?!

If you've landed here looking for suggestions, we've recently updated our best duvets page with the products MNers love - including options for all budgets. We hope it's useful!

We have the soak and sleep goose down duvets. It’s a set of a lightweight (maybe 4.5 tog) and a mid weight (maybe 9.5 tog) that you can combine by buttoning together for the winter.
They are lovely. Not at all prickly and very warm. You’ve made a good choice! Although I am intrigued by the wool ones for their heat regulating benefits.

@SingingWaffleDoggy yes I'm wondering whether to look at wool for my eldest, he gets so hot and sweaty at night. He has the worlds most rubbish duvet it's so thin and old I look like a terrible parent but when we tried switching it to something better quality he just sweated buckets!
