Moving into a house double the size of where we currently are, and basically need to furnish the entire house. I've previously bought most furniture from Ikea, and while the playroom and some is still likely to come from there, I'd also like to up our decor game as it's finally going to be our proper family home.

Please give me your recommendations for classic, contemporary home furnishings - but still not stupid expensive. Not into anything too ultra modern or the farmhouse style.

Bonus points for smaller independent companies. Extra bonus points if there's a showroom in London/Essex.

Cult Furniture,
West Elm,
Atlantic Shopping,
John Lewis
Zara Home is good for coffee tables
The Old Cinema, Chiswick for vintage
Kempton Park (Sunbury) Antiques fair for vintage on selected Tuesday mornings - unsure if open since Lockdown

Thanks @DianaT1969! Have you bought anything from Cult Furniture? They have some stuff I really like, but see really conflicting reviews about their quality

@livingoffcoffee - I bought chairs and lighting from Cult Furniture a couple of years ago for our office lounge. No problems, Chinese-made I suspect and not high-end, but the quality matched the price I felt.
Maison du Monde had similar things.
Have you looked at Made.com? My favourite piece of furniture is by them. Ready assembled Bourbon bedside units.

Cotswold Co, Arlo & Jacob, MADE.com...

Just saw @DianaT1969 beat me to MADE.com recommendation - my fav piece of furniture is from there too! GrinI get a lot of lighting from John Lewis and Myakka is good for wooden items.

Ooo yes Made.com is great. Forgot about that one..

If you can make some day trips then Direct Furniture in Bury St Edmunds for significant reductions on Loaf (ex display, cancelled orders etc) and Trade Secret in Adderbury in Oxfordshire for similar from JL, M&S, Loaf etc.
