Feature Wall Or Feature Floor?

I am in love with elephant wallpaper! (Even though it is way beyond my price bracket). I also really wanted some sort of old fashioned bold patterned lino as a statement. They obviously don't go together and Im not sure which way to go.This is all part of the hall, stairs landing decor. I want plain grey walls everywhere apart from the 1 long wall in the hall that runs from door to stairs which will be my feature wall. Paintwork white (poss stair handrail dark blue). Stair carpet I thought dark/navy blue. Blue lino for the hall would tie in with the carpet. Any wise suggestions people?

Personally id do the wallpaper, it’s easier to change out when you get bored. The floor isn’t my taste but you’d need to decorate round it and keep it for a long time.
