Can you hang eyelet curtains on a track somehow?

Hi all
I've got a pelmet situation in my house with a track. Would like to remove that but ceiling will need replastering so it will be a faff plus ££.
The curtains I like are eyelet but if I adjust the longest length then they will come up too short. Is there any sort of widget that won't look terrible that you can hang from the track to connect to the eyelet??

I don't think there is anything that would make this work. Are any non-eyelet available in the same fabric.

If you have a pelmet it will probably hide the top of your curtains, so any unsightly hacks would be covered.
I was going to suggest adding another split ring or shower curtain ring through your eyelets and onto your track system. That would lengthen but be very ugly. One reason to keep the pelmet!
Or there is this

You could probably make some sort of solution with clips on the eyelets attached to the track clips but to be honest it won't look great. If you can sew you can cut off the eyelet strip and stitch on header tape? Annoying if they are pricey and/or brand new curtains though. Unfortunately a lot of the nicer curtains are eyelet style, which is largely why I've ended up making most of mine. Couldn't be arsed with putting curtain poles up everywhere, we have the same issue with plastering.

Thanks all. Yes Sgtmajormummy that's exactly what I was hoping for. Do you know if they're available in the UK?

This would be my jumping-off point on Amazon. Who knows where you’ll end up, as retrofitting curtain systems has always been a pain IME.
Amazon
Once DH and I got to the point of saying about a track we’d removed too hastily: “Neither of us is stupid, but why can’t we get this bloody thing to work???”

StillNumb · 08/08/2020 20:49

I really wouldn’t do it, it won’t look right. Can you stretch to made to measure? If you’re lucky you could pick up fabric on eBay or online and get made up by a curtain maker. I believe Ikea do some longer length curtains

Trust me, quick fixes on curtains never look good

Or this?

Could you attach the curtains upside down so eyelets are at the bottom? Weave a piece of material through the eyelets. Or patch each hole with a contrasting colour from behind.

Cut off the eyelets, sew on a contrasting or coordinating fabric across the top of the curtains, attach header tape.
