Sanding a table

I have an Oak dining room table which I still love.
However, it is very orange. I would like it to be a more 'scandi' colour
Has anyone tried to sand a table and how do I go about it??

I've sanded/stripped lots of furniture over the years. You can start of will a liquid stripper that will remove the varnish and then sand, or you can just sand it. I have an electric sander which makes it much, much easier. There are loads of videos on YouTube about doing it properly.

I also highly suggest that you do this outside. The mess it makes is unbelievable, and you will get heavy dust all over everything throughout your house.

I use an orbital sander, start with a rough paper and work up to a finer one. It's quick and easy although you may need paper for the books and crannies of the legs depending on design.

Liberon hard wax oil gives the most wonderful natural but hard wearing finish.
