Which colour paint with this wallpaper?

I’m redecorating DD’s room and this wallpaper is going on one wall. It’s a tiny room (less than 3m square) so need a bright, light colour for the other walls. I was thinking white but the paint underneath is blue so it might need a few coats. Any other ideas.

I'd only do white, keeps it nice crisp clean lines, with the focal point of the wallpaper as a feature wall.

How about one pale green, one pale pink, one white to reflect the colours in the wallpaper? Ignore me if that’s too much work of course!

Personally, I might be tempted by a mint green or another of the paler colours to make the wallpaper stand out.

Egg shell green/ blue Calming and soothing colours

Egg shell might be a good one, with a repainted bright white ceiling. DD would love a multicolour room but time’s tight! I only have white paint at the moment so it will all have a white base coat anyway and then I can experiment.

Mint green would look fab

I agree, I'd pick up the mint green and use that on the other walls.

Yup, a mint that is a paler version of the one in the paper. It will make the room fresh and light. You have loads of colours there to pick for bedlinen, cushions etc. It's going to look gorgeous!

I would get the green from the paper colour matched for the other walls then lighten the room with white curtains and furniture.

Disclaimer: the inside of my house is slowly turning different shades of green as I repaint each room (except for the porch and hall which will be staying a strong purple and Azure blue respectively), so I may be biased!

Can I suggest dulux's lagoon falls? You can get it in a light reflective paint that helps the room feel bigger/brighter. I have it in DS' room and it's lovely

Have this in my daughter's room and went for a b&q pink on 3 walls that matches the pink of rainbows really well

I'd go for white or cream. Yes, it might need an extra coat. I've always found Dulux paint to be good quality.

I put a base coat of white down yesterday and it turns out that it’s incompatible with the blue underneath, causing it to blister. I spent a couple of hours after work today scraping down to the plaster, gave up and bought some more wallpaper at B&Q. It’s a very light cream with gold and silver glitter (looks a bit like rain) so will hopefully compliment the rainbows.

Sorry! This is the shade I used for my kids' room. But the above one, Pall Mall would be nicer with the greens in your wallpaper.

White or pink. I'd be surprised if a little girl liked mint walls. I think my 3 year old would actually cry 🤣
