5mm gap between bay window curtain tracks.

We have curtain tracks in our bay window.

Actually two tracks with a gap of about 4-5mm between them where they "meet" in the middle.

Annoyingly, this means that the hooks "fall" into the gap whenever the curtains are closed, unless we dont close them all the way, and they need to be hooked out.

We have found workarounds, including putting blutac in the gap, and currently has a rather fetching elastic band hmm. We want to get new curtains soon, so wonder if there is a more permanent solution?

There is nothing else wrong with the tracks, so don't want to replace them. (The upstairs bay does need a new track which'll cost about £280, so financially can't do both.)

Is there a product that can bridge the gap between the tracks? The tracks are approximately 2cm wide. As I say, the gap is about 4-5mm.

Yes, you can buy fechingly named "curtain track end stops" for just this reason. I bet it's really annoying that the hooks keep falling off - would do my nut in!

There are quite a few on Amazon here
