Best Cordless Dyson?

Our Miele has died a death this morning!

Which cordless Dyson would you recommend for a 3 floor house, all wooden floors, 3 kids, no pets?

Thank you!

I have the V11 Absolute and it's incredible - I have all hard floors (2 rugs), 6 cats, 1 ds and live in a very dusty part of the world. It handles it all no problem. Worth every single penny.

Thank you! Price is a bit eye-watering though... Was hoping for the £300 mark or less?

The V8 is £350, the V7 £300. I've no experience of those though.

If no let's you could get the v7 or v8 and it'll be grand. We've recently got a cat and I need to upgrade

starsinyourpies · 05/07/2020 15:35

I think there's a big difference between v7/v8 ( I used to have v7) and the v10 in battery life. I now have v10 and love it, I wasn't sold on the extras with V11.

starsinyourpies · 05/07/2020 15:36

Although the V7 is still going strong at MILs! She has a small flat and battery is fine for that.

WellTidy · 05/07/2020 16:13

I have a v8 and love it. No idea how it compares with later versions as mine has been going strong for 2 years or so and I have no wish to replace it. I use it in short bursts on the power boost setting, with lasts for about 6 minutes. The normal power setting lasts for about 45 minutes. I usually have to empty it after 6 minutes on power boost and I’m amazed at how much it picks up.

Great thanks everyone! No pets but we all shed quite a lot of hair! Think I'll save for a v10.

Are you definitely sold on a Dyson? We recently switched to Tineco, on the basis of great reviews on both Amazon and Which, and have been really impressed. We have an A11 Hero.

I second this. It's brilliant.

How about a robovac like Eufy? We got an Eufy a month back and it's amazing.

Best part is the kids run it. I don't get a look in at all Grin

@OchonAgusOchonO I've never been a fan of Dyson. My dbro had an upright and I hated it. Ugly, cumbersome and always breaking. I've been a strict Miele girl my whole adult life (I still have one of the pre EU 2200watt Cat and Dog models which is fab), but with the cats, the dust, the child, I find myself needing to vacuum several times a day, so I started looking at cordless. After reading up all the tech publications reviews, it seems the only choice, it came top of all the reviews despite the price so I bit the bullet and ordered one. Don't regret is for a second. I 'live' in two different countries and I'm currently at my home without the Dyson. I think I'm going to buy another Blush

OchonAgusOchonO · 07/07/2020 16:44

@Shmithecat2 - it's my first dyson too. My house has never been cleaner. It's just so easy to grab it and do a quick run around the kitchen/hall whatever.

I have a v10 and it's pants. I'm tempted to go back to a plug in as this just doesn't pick up.
