Has anyone bought a sofa from Sofology and if so, how was the quality after a year or so? We made an expensive mistake with our current sofa, and very wary about doing the same again. Has anyone bought a bespoke sofa, and could say how much more expensive it would be to get something made? Eg, a £3k sofa from a sofa store... how much for something similar bespoke? Do you think any chain furniture stores are better than any others for comfort and life expectancy of the sofa?

Just wondering how your getting on with your Mazzini sofa. Which material did.you go with, standard leather or the Aniline version which looks more natural and unfinished. Think the main one they display instore is the utah brown or utah grey. We really want this but have read some mixed reviews. Cushions sagging a lot over 6-12 months. Wondering if you have the aniline version how it's stood the test of time, I understand it needs careful care. Absorbs liquids easily and stains/marks easily and will fade easy in the sun. Is this true or just some unhappy customers leaving unfair reviews.

I have 2 Lucien sofas and a cuddle chair from Sofology, one of the sofas is newer than the other. We moved house and had more room so purchased a second two seater in the same style. One is 6 years old, one is coming up for 3 years old and i struggle to tell which is the newer.

No sagging in either, colours are still bright, one is a sofa bed and the mechanism still works well and the mattress comfortable.

I think the thing to bear in mind is when people are disgruntled they will shout it from the rooftops but when people are happy with a purchase they don't really post about it.

Mine died not long after it arrived. The cushion was really badly made. They sent us a second one but it wasn't much better. We sold it on in the end.

Great thread OP, we are looking for a new sofa, we had a disaster purchase from Furniture Village, last purchase ago too. So keen to avoid a previous very expensive mistake.

@Thisismynewname123

I have a habitat sofa. Bought 9 years ago.
It’s a charcoal modular sofa you can change in to many ways.

Looks brand new.

@Justa47
Please share the name of the sofa range? Would like to have a look if it is one they still have.

I know I am coming in late here, but does anyone have the offbeat chesterfield sofa from sofology? Looking at one and love the look, feeling it will probably hold up quite well but just wondering.

Did you get your Offbeat Chesterfield in the end? We are about to order one - gorgeous, aren't they!?

@Wheresmywoolyjumpers did you get it in the end? we are getting ours tomorrow - they're gorgeous, aren't they!

No, @lifewithelenakatrina - measured again and decided on the clerkenwell instead which I love. Hope you love yours - I really liked the offbeat but it would have been slightly too big for the space!

Bought an expensive leather sofa and within the warranty period it is sagging/flattened in the centre. We have tried contacting Sofology, and despite on the phone initially agreeing that the flattening was unacceptable (based on photos we sent), they now are dragging this out and being evasive. We keep getting told that we need to go through a maintenance routine EVERY DAY to maintain the sofa and avoid flattening. We had been trying the “plumping” actions they recommend previously but without improvement. However they keep saying we should keep trying this.

Totally unacceptable service and warranty support.

We ordered a brand-new sofa from Sofology for Christmas and patiently waited eight weeks. What arrived was a beige sofa in a state you’d expect from a clearance sale, complete with visible stains on the cushions.

Naturally, this was not quite what we had in mind for Christmas. Customer service then helpfully suggested sending a cleaner after the holidays — a truly inspired solution for anyone planning to host guests.
Quality control appears to be a theoretical concept, and festive deadlines clearly optional.Thank you, Sofology, for making our Christmas memorable.Avoid!
