Help! Decorating a lounge around a dark brown leather sofa

We have a brown leather sofa in our lounge which I don’t like but my OH finds comfy with his aches and pains. I need inspiration for paint colours for walls, curtains and soft furnishings. At present walls are Dulux timeless, curtains are beige and mustard with mustard cushiins and a brown rug. Something is not quite right!! 🙄

How dark a sofa and modern or vintage and how much light in the room? We've just done our walls a stormy grey blue but it's a big room with huge windows.

A vintage recliner. Room is dark despite having large windows because the ceiling is dark panelled wood which I insist will be plastered and painted white very soon!!

I'll take a picture of our paint tomorrow and see what you think 😊

I've got a dark brown leather sofa and my room is dulux balk chocolate with lots of creams, pinky colours and soft grey and it works really well, very warm colours x

Thank you for the photos- will have a look at paint in that colour. No offence but am glad I am not the only one finding it difficult. I've tried that combo cushions too but was not right!
