Velux blackout blinds made by companies other than Velux?

I want to replace some fairly transparent Velux roller blinds with blackout blinds, and also install blackout blinds on Velux windows that don't currently have any blinds (and which are quite high up so probably a professional job). I notice that the official Velux blinds are way more expensive than Velux-compatible blinds made by other companies. Does anyone have experience with the non-Velux blackout blinds - are you happy with them? Is it better to get the Velux ones? Thanks!

We got velux blinds from blinds to go. If you look on the windows it has a code and this gives you the specific boobs you need. We paid £60 per blind and very happy with them. Very easy to fit.

Thank you @vanannabananna! I will take a look. Your typo gave me a big lol ... at least I assume it was a typo and that I won't really be able to get 'specific boobs' from blinds to go Grin

Hahaha didn’t even see that!! They didn’t do boobs last time I checked. We’ve used them a lot for blinds though and always happy with the quality.

We bought Bloc blinds (from John Lewis I think) - they fit velux.

I got Velux blinds from roofblinds.co.uk
I bought the motorised blackout blind in white and it was much cheaper than Velux directly. They also do their own brand to fit Velux using the Velux window codes.
