Ikea Gronlid sofa

We are looking for a sofa to go in our family/play room. I like the idea of ikeas Gronlid so I can wash the covers/buy new replacements if needed.

Has anyone got one and has it stood the test of time with young kids? Also what colour did you go for?

Not seen it in the store only on the website but it looks great. I'd need to see it, and my preferred colour is natural, which wouldn't be suitable with children or pets. From my experience with covers, they wash ok but you need a decent size washing machine, and they need to be slightly damp when you put them back on.

We have this sofa in green, the 3-seat version, it's soooo comfy (and massive!) Only had it since Feb though so no idea if it will last, but love it so far
