Sofa/sofa bed in basement ideas?

Hi,

My partner and I have just moved into a house and we want to turn our converted basement into a cinema room/spare bedroom. We don’t want to put a bed in there as it won’t get used enough to be a bedroom, but we want to put a sofa in there so we can use it as a cinema room, but also a sofa bed so people can use it to sleep in.

My dilemma is...where can I find something that’s comfy as a sofa, turns into a sofa bed, and will also fit down some narrow stairs to go down to the basement.

I have seen sofas in a bed...but I need something that’s a sofa bed in a box...any ideas?

I'd have a daybed, just because it's more to my taste. Ours was from Ikea and was self assembly plus has good deep storage drawers underneath. It's really comfy both as a sofa and when extended to make a king size bed.

We are doing the same in a few months. I’m hoping Ikea sofa beds will fit the bill. Need to contact them and find out package sizes first though.
