Kitchen bins chipping paint, what to do?

The paint is coming off behind my kitchen bins, I've repainted it in the past but it continues to happen and I have nowhere else to store them. What could I put behind them to stop it happening?

Could you make (or pay someone to make) a small wooden frame to hold the bins in place that can be fixed to the wall, leaving enough space for the bins to open without touching the paintwork?

Put a small strip of wood on the floor behind the bins to stop them being pushed against the wall.

Some clear perspex fixed to the wall same height as the bins, or a bit higher if they have flip up lids.
