Venetian Blind Help

I want to order a white wood effect venetian blind for our box room, the room is south facing and used as a study / kids tv room. I can't decide between taped or not and 35mm slats or 50mm. Do the tapes get dirty and could they be removed if I order and hate them?

The house is a 30s semi with leaded windows and I'm worried taped might look too fussy. I've seen them on loads of other houses and thought they looked nice but have also seen some that don't look so good, but not sure why.

My husband doesn't care either way and I just want to make a decision so we can get them ordered. Any opinions much appreciated.

I’d say no to taped. I agreed that with the leaded window it would look too fussy. I also think the 50 would look too big against the lead so would stick with the 35.
Are you able to order samples? I know blinds direct & hilary’s do samples so that may help you make the choice.

I ordered a few samples from Blinds2go, but only different colours in taped 50mm. I've ordered some more in taped 35mm and untaped. It's hard to judge from a small sample though.

Think I'm swaying towards untaped. No idea why I'm being so indecisive about a small bind, I spent less time deciding on our roman blinds.
