I’m decorating my spare bedroom. It’s pretty small and dull unfortunately! I don’t want to go bold or dark as I think that would make it totally claustrophobic and like the ideas of sage - it’s one of those colours that goes with practically all other colours so feels almost neutral.
I’d like a brand recommended where the sage is very pale and subtle please. Also some ideas of accent colours for lampshades etc. Thank you!

Have a look at farrow and ball “bone” it goes on a mucky yellow shade but dries to a lovely pale green.

Be careful it isnt too grey in undertone. I put a sage on my stair and hated it. It looked nice in the tin but was dingy on the wall. So maybe if the F & B one has yellow undertone that would be ok. Need a warm undertone in a small dark space I would say.

Thank you I have googled bone but that wasn’t really the colour I was thinking of. F & b do one called ‘Cromarty’ which looks nice in the pics but I know from experience that their shades can look different when on my walls!
Yes I need to be careful for the shade not to be too dull or cold, the room is white currently and looks very cold. I want it to look more welcoming.

Limerick from B&Qs range is nice, have it in hallway with the bright yellow Laura Ashley wallpaper.

Some people dislike Valspar paint, but we have Morning Downpour in our living room a d I think it's lovely

I've used Jurassic Stone from Dulux on our hall, stairs and landing, I spent ages trying to find the perfect sage/pale green. It looks nice with bright white against it.

Just painted my hall, stairs and landing in Dusted Moss number 3 by Dulux. Its really gorgeous and I highly recommend it.

The new dulux colour if the year tranquil dawn? For a very subtle green tinge I have dulux pebble shore it's classed as a grey but it's a green grey if you find a true sage is too green/dark x
