Hanging vintage wallpaper

Found the most fabulous 70s vintage wallpaper on Etsy, and keen to hang it. I do know a good handyman who'd put it up for me, but money's tight. Would you hang it yourself if you had never hung wallpaper before?? Scared of messing it up. I've had a good google, and it suggests the paper will need soaking before hanging - feeling a bit clueless. Actually almost convinced myself to wait and pay for somebody else to do it who's less likely to mess it up - WWYD?

Pay.

I’ve spent years watching my own DM hanging wallpaper, she’s even come over and done rooms in my last 2 houses. I’ve attempted it and made a right pigs ear of it. If you would be able to buy an extra roll if you messed up a few bits, then have a go. If you love the paper, would be gutted to ruin it and not be able to have the room as you like, then get a professional.

How much paper have you got, and how £ was it...?
If it’s very limited supply then I’d pay someone. Personally I find hanging paper really tricky.
Particularly when you have to match up a pattern.
And also depending on thickness of paper: too thick is a nightmare, too thin also horrific!
Also, if you’ve a nice straight wall with right angles and corners that are square that’s make it much easier (but then highlight any mistakes!)
You could practice on cheaper paper in another room?
