I can't decide between black or gold so got both to see, but still can't decide!

Black

VictoriaBun · 31/05/2020 17:30

Your hate me for saying this, but , I think a more square / rectangular one would look better imo.

Oly4 · 31/05/2020 17:32

Black... though neither of them are big enough! A huge rectangular mirror would look fab

misskick · 31/05/2020 17:32

Gold, But I do agree a bigger mirror.

wheresmolly · 31/05/2020 17:34

Hmmm. I did wonder about the size myself Confused ok might have a complete re-think! The trouble I have is that the wall is very solid (think concrete!) so it's very hard to drill holes so anything needs to be light enough to use those 3M hanging strips.

Black.

The concrete sounds like a pain, perhaps you could put others frames/pics on either side of the mirror so it becomes more of a feature wall?

Oly4 · 31/05/2020 17:52

I think I’d get a glorious big mirror in and save up for a professional to come and hang it for you. Would look amazing!

wheresmolly · 31/05/2020 18:25

It's a rented property so I don't want to be damaging the wall too much if I can help it. Might have to look on Pinterest for some ideas.

They're both far too small.

Davros · 31/05/2020 22:15

Too small and round is the wrong shape. Either get someone to hang it or get a massive one and lean it up

QueenOfPain · 31/05/2020 22:16

Black.

popgoesperfection · 31/05/2020 22:20

I'd get a big arch mirror in black and lean in against the wall rather that having it.

ElectricTonight · 31/05/2020 22:21

Black

Bouledeneige · 31/05/2020 23:48

I'd also go for a much larger one.

villageshop · 31/05/2020 23:52

I agree large rectangular would be better - in black or wood or more of a dark antique gold.

Sunnywaves · 03/06/2020 16:43

A nice big one standing on the mantlepiece would look better.

DerbyshireGirly · 05/06/2020 16:16

What about a really big skeleton clock?

Davros · 05/06/2020 20:05

I like the over mantle mirror and The clock is a good idea too

Astillbe · 05/06/2020 21:51

Something like this sitting on the mantle (but use command strips to secure it to the wall). The one in the pic is from Cox and Cox but loads of places have similar.

Out of the two you have I'd go with the black, not hang it too high then style up the fireplace like in these pics. It then won't look lost on the wall, I'd go with black, brass and earthenware accessories.

Astillbe · 05/06/2020 21:57

Sorry, forgot to add the pics.
