Help! DFS Zinc sofa - grey or charcoal?

Just ordered a 3 seaters in charcoal, but not sure whether I should change it for grey, which seems more popular! Has anyone seen the both colours in real? Their stores are obviously closed now, and it's so difficult to solely rely on the screen. Help!

I think you’re right.

@peachypetite

Dusky pink sounds lovely. Great it didn’t take as long. So my living room is dark brown walnut floor, the tiniest hint of blush white paint on my walls. Can’t decide whether to get the velvet or more neutral mocha. I am pregnant and not sure how practical velvet is with young kids? The velvet is also more ££
We have a velvet couch in our kitchen living room for the past 7 years. It’s fab. Everything just brushes off it. It’s used as a trampoline by the 7 year old every day. It was very expensive so I think if you get good quality then velvet does work.

Now leaning towards the teal!!

It looks stunning op! I much prefer the dusky pink to the navy you had before. Plus navy accessories would look fab. What is the pink paint you've used please?

ginger09 · 19/07/2020 08:53

@Bluesheep8 In fact we still have the navy wall on the other side! It was done by the previously owners and I liked it but found it a bit boring, so painted pink on the opposite wall to make contrast Grin It's Light Peachblossom from Little Greene. I tried quite a lot of pink samples and this one worked best for our livingroom!

Ah thanks for that op, it looks lovely Smile

Grey will quickly go out of fashion in a couple of years and look dated.

Couldn't disagree more. I've had my grey leather sofa for 5 years now and it's a great neutral colour. So far I've teamed it with navy, pink, wine, yellow and charcoal. It looks great with fur, velvet and silk throws. It's been the most versatile sofa I've ever had!

badgerread · 19/07/2020 11:22

I've got this in navy velvet, the corner version with the footstool.

Pieceofpurplesky · 19/07/2020 11:22

I also have grey/charcoal room and don't really care about fads and fashion

peachypetite · 19/07/2020 12:02

I eventually opted for the teal and think I’ll style with blush pink cushions

ginger09 · 19/07/2020 14:12

@peachypetite Sounds great!! Hope you don't need to wait for so long!

I bought a DFS sofa in that grey 3 years ago and I will say I hope you got stain protect.

I didn’t.
I have a 4 (now) year old.
I now have a sofa that is grey-with-various splodges... and they ALL show up horribly.
I now have 27 throws covering it.
I am an idiot.

Looks lovely btw.

Hope the photos work. These are my teal ones. I love them. Bought a tin of Scotchguard and sprayed them with that, having learned from a stained grey sofa in another room!

Now off to name change Wink

Lovely, I’ve got the 4 seater in teal and a ‘cuddler’ in navy leather. I love them

Iwanttositundermyownvine · 19/07/2020 14:46

They are great. I actually sat on a teal one at someone else's house, went home, dragged DH to the shop and ordered them Grin

We recently ordered the Zinc in grey, then I saw some photos in charcoal and I thought they looked better. Now I've seen some photos of the grey and think that looks better. I just can't decide now. I wish I could see them in person because in different lights each colour looks totally different in photos. Helpppp!
