Matching duvet cover and curtains - yay or nay?

I have the William Morris Strawberry Thief duvet cover from John Lewis. I need new curtains - should I get the matching ones or just go for a plain dark blue?

I would say plain. You wasn’t need new curtains as often as you need new covers and it might be difficult to find covers that go in the future. Plus I personally think it looks better

Plain. I have same throw for my bed and plain navy blinds show it up nicely.

Plain agree with the above

I agree. Too much matching stuff and the room always looks like a child's bedroom.

I love William Morris patterns and have curtains in Fruit but think curtains and bedding would be too much. I’d think a plain curtain. I dislike fussiness though and will only have cream or white bedding.

Plain. The Morris & Co bedding is beautiful but fades badly and wears around the edges.

I have the William Morris bedding from John Lewis in the brown and have plain dark teal curtains, having matching, besides being a bit much, limits your choice if you want a second different duvet cover

That pattern is quite in your face. The bedding set combines strawberry thief with the willow pattern on the other side/on extra pillow covers. If you like WM and you have the right kind of room you could choose a different pattern in a similar colour scheme. I wouldn’t choose a plain pattern unless you live in a modern property.

We've got William Morris bedding and wallpaper a different pattern in our bedroom but have gone for plain curtains, the room is quite big so can take some of the bold colours but in our spare bedroom we have the red Strawberry Thief wallpaper and have gone for plain bedding and red curtains with a pattern embroided on them with one colour because any more would have been overbearing for the room. It depends on the size of the room and what else you have in the I guess. It's a lovely pattern though so I'm sure will look fab whatever you choose x
