In need of a VERY thin door mat or rug

Hi everyone,

As the title says, I am looking for a very thin door mat or rug (like less than 3mm!) The front door to our flat opens straight from outside to our hallway/stairs which has lovely new carpet that I feel is gradually getting ruined. With a baby on the way especially I am worried about the pushchair etc and the small space and nice carpet we have in the doorway. I have tried thin mats before but they always end up getting stuck under the door. I feel I have trawled the internet with no luck, so any advice/suggestions please let me know! I hope that makes sense. Thank you xxx

I had one in B and M of all places, thin as a rizla and machine washable

@nell3 We have a doormat in a metal frame that’s recessed in the floorboards.

The Range had some very thin carpet-type mats with thin rubbery edging, would they be any good?

Thank you all, didn't think of looking at the range but that is looking hopeful! Xx

Turtle mats are great & have some lovely designs - they are expensive, but worth it IMO

Also Hug Rugs (we have please wipe your paws)(no dogs though Grin)

Oh - Hug Rugs are too thick, sorry

Another vote for a Turtlemat, or cheaper rip off in a similar style.

Turtle mat dupes. I think they’re called rubber backed microfibres mats. I’ve got one from ikea. Not that attractive but works very well.

Fab thanks everyone! Lots of options, knew I could count on you haha xx

Dunelm Marvel mats. I have the same problem as you OP, with the front door, and these are great, machine washable and loads of sizes and colours.

If you're putting a rug on top of a carpet you might find it walks so the rug will need thatrubber carpet gripper tape on it.

Another turtle mat fan. They're washable which makes me happy.
