Kitchen Tiles??

Hi all, hope someone with a better interior eye can help me out here. We are looking to tile our kitchen along the walls between cupboards, as well as removing the splash back in place of tiles (easier to clean always smudges), what sort of tiles will go with the cabinets and worktop? I really like white metro tiles but struggle to see if it will work. The kitchen is light grey but I might paint it white in the summer as we have grey laminate and it just looks too grey for me.

perhaps something like these? Although if you are wanting to steer clear of more grey then they might not suit

just noticed you can get similar ones in dark blue here and different shades of blue here if you like the style x

Green? I was quite dubious at first but now love them. Think it works really well with wood and cream.
