Bathroom wall - sticker wall tiles?

We have tiles mostly in our small bathroom, and have a small painted bare wall. I recently painted it a different colour but it still looks shit. I hate our bathroom. It just looks meh. We can’t afford to have it re-done. The tiles are just bog- standard white squares & the grouting has become very discoloured. I tried that pink stuff to whiten the grout but it did nothing.

Anyway for the painted wall I’ve seen those self adhesive sticker wall tiles on eBay, they’re relatively cheap, has anyone used them before? I’m hopeful they could freshen up the painted wall as it’s quite rubbish with dints & marks, so it’s not smooth, it could do with plastering but that’s another cost we can’t afford & DH is dead against wallpaper.

Have you got a white suite? Are the taps in decent order? Also what sort of flooring do you have?
I personally wouldn't used the tile wall stickers if you already have plain white wall tiles.
I would concentrate any funds you have on sorting the grouting out, buy a grout remover tool, sponge and a tub of ready mix grout so it is all fresh. You could even use grey grout to make it contrasting/modernised the white tile if not fully able to replace. You can reseal the bath etc with fresh silicone for a few pounds too.
As for the wall I would show your husband some wallpapers, maybe a bold pattern? Especially as it's a small space. We have a small wall, not in the best finish covered in a bold leaf print in our bathroom and it looks great with white and some grey. You need to be sure the bathroom is well ventilated so no condensation etc.
Or paint in a dark colour and add a couple of prints in a contrasting frame ti the wall that covers the majority of it?
Add other colour with towels/blind or accessories.
Most of all concentrate on essentials like I said ensuring grouting is done, clean bath seals, good condition flooring, modernise taps as funds allow (screwfix are reasonable).

Yes it’s a white suite, taps are ok and working. The flooring is just vinyl - laminate wood effect.

We have a mirror with a silver sparkly edge to it & a chrome towel heater/radiator. I think my mistake was painting over the grey wall with this cream paint - DH said it wouldn’t look right but I was determined to do it! All it has done is brought out how grubby the grouting is!

So because DH has just recently spent £15 on cream paint I can’t really be spending anymore to rectify it, so I either live with it or I have another option. Mix in some dark blue paint that we have left from the living room to make a decent mid blue colour & do the wall in that. DH will go ape at first but I reckon if I can get it as close to this colour, hopefully it’ll look better than what we got as I know he’s not liking the creamy colour that’s on there now.

Yes lovely colour! What's the worst that can happen. It will def be brighter than cream.
